Marine Detachment
The Marine Detachment of Coastal Patrol Cadet Corps was formed to train young men and women in the ages of 12 years old and up. The focus of our detachment is to instruct those Marine cadets in close order drill & rifle drilling, properly wear Marine Corps Uniforms, to learn the Navy/Marine Corps rank structures and other basic military knowledge. In addition, all Marine Cadets that progress to the higher ranks earn the opportunity to take specialty classes such as communication, first aid and military police. This has helped to prepare our cadets to go on to serve our nation in the United States Marine Corps and the other armed services.
The Marine Detachment serves several important functions for our organization. We are responsible for providing Marine Cadets on the Old Flag Honor Guard, set up the main deck’s mast, raising & lowering the admiral’s flag and serves as a feeder unit for the Senior & Junior Infantry drill teams, Trick drill team, Cobra team as well as our Corps' band.
Our Marine Detachment has a proud tradition of being one of the most decorated sections within our Corps
We hold distinctly high standards for outstanding uniform wear which has translated into winning many monthly uniform inspections. So, if you want to be part of the few and proud Marine Cadets, then joining our detachment would be the first step in your life in being the best.”
